All G-Body cars were born with a filler panel on the drivers side of the trunk to prevent the trunk carpet from falling into the space between the trunk floor and the quarter panel. Most of them are long gone. We now have a perfect reproduction

Spare tire well filler panel

 

This a perfect reproduction of the cardboard spare tire filler panel made using an original as a guide, so the size and material is exact.

This black panel attaches to the threaded rod that secures the mini spare tire in the trunk. It fills in the gap between the mini spare tire and the spare tire well, so the factory carpet can lay flat. If you don’t have it, the carpet falls into the wheel well.

Many times this cardboard filler panel is missing, damaged or destroyed.
